Somali envoy visits IIU

Ambassador of the Somali Republic in Pakistan, Abdi Salam Haji Ahmed Liban called on President International Islamic University (IIU), Dr Anwar Hussain Siddiqui here on Wednesday. The Ambassador was briefed about the objectives, functioning and achievements of the university over last 30 years.
Dr Anwar Hussain Siddiqui, told the visiting Ambassador that IIU started with thirteen students and a single faculty in 1980 but now it has over 17,000 male and female students spread over nine faculties covering almost all disciplines.
