Acting Commissioner/DCO, Saeed Wahlah, has directed to prepare proposals regarding construction of new link roads leading to sugar mills and also to complete the under way development schemes on priority basis. He was chairing a meeting of Divisional Sugarcane Development Cess Committee here on Tuesday.
DCO Toba Tek Singh Chaudhry, Muhammad Ashraf, Director Development, Dr Tariq Sardar, representatives of sugar mills and others concerned officers attended the meeting. The meeting approved construction of following roads of district T T Singh; road from Chak No 194/G.B. to boundary district, Chak No 677/G B to 706/GB and special repair of road Chak No 270/GB to 515/GB.
It was informed that the committee had Rs 39 million for construction of new roads and highway department had estimated Rs 42 million for these roads. The chair directed to concerned department to complete these roads projects within stipulated period and before start of crushing season.
