KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the upper side on Tuesday at 24,347.41 points with a positive change of 409.53 and volume of 157,919,100 shares. High and Low were 24,368 and 23,937.88 respectively. Of 30 companies traded, 30 were up, 0 were down and 0 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 223,579,640 shares. Total companies traded were 368 of which 262 were positive, 95 were negative and 11 were unchanged.

Engineering was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 34,706,400 shares. It was followed by Chemicals with a total traded volume of 29,733,420 shares.

The top three advancers were Philip Morris (Pakistan) Limited with a volume of 240 and price per share of 2,888 (133.00), Jubilee Life Insurance Company Limited with a volume of 1,350 and price per share of 844.25 (37.92), Archroma Pakistan Limited with a volume of 4,600 and price per share of 735.87 (27.87).

The top three decliners were Khyber Tobacco Company Limited with a volume of 700 and price per share of 798 (-41.99), Wyeth Pakistan Limited with a volume of 560 and price per share of 2,461.24 (-22.62), Abbott Laboratories (Pakistan) Limited with a volume of 2,200 and price per share of 878.90 (-21.09).
