Nadra has launched a fast track and innovative service lane to facilitate the applicants who are willing to pay for the urgent service. The service has been launched for those who want to avoid the long queues at NSRCs after Nadra started issuing free CNICs on normal basis.
This service was based on the successful outcome of a pilot project in Lahore PHQ, which was launched on November 24 2008. More than 600 people got registered in Lahore under this project in only 2 months by paying higher registration fees. Nadra has activated fast track services at 37 NSRCs of Multan, Lahore, Quetta, Peshawar, Islamabad and Karachi so far where more than 1000 citizens have been registered in four days.
Using the express service, applications for the computerised ID cards will be submitted after paying a fee of Rs 1000, ID card for overseas Pakistanis in Middle East Rs 3000 and rest of the world Rs 5000. Home delivery of these cards will be made at charges of Rs 100 for inland and Rs 500 for abroad. Child Registration Certificates under this scheme will be charged Rs 500. The delivery period of the cards will be the same as per regular procedure, however, the application time will be shortened.
