RECORDER REPORT: PSX close of day

KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the upper side on Friday at 23,132.59 points with a positive change of 13.75 and volume of 68,652,700 shares. High and Low were 23,228.05 and 22,798.59 respectively. Of 30 companies traded, 25 were up, 5 were down and 0 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 112,138,790 shares. Total companies traded were 340 of which 240 were positive, 83 were negative and 17 were unchanged.

Commercial Banks was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 19,913,100 shares. It was followed by Cement with a total traded volume of 16,003,600 shares.

The three top traded companies were Silkbank Limited with a volume of 8,307,000 and price per share of 1.49 (0.01), Power Cement Limited with a volume of 8,214,500 and price per share of 12.15 (0.18), K-Electric Limited with a volume of 8,159,500 and price per share of 6.59 (-0.20).

The top three advancers were Wyeth Pakistan Limited with a volume of 340 and price per share of 2,241 (51.48), Sanofi-Aventis Pakistan Limited with a volume of 80 and price per share of 1,718.33 (45.33), Millat Tractors Limited with a volume of 23,600 and price per share of 1,329.12 (30.71).

The top three decliners were Agriauto Industries Limited with a volume of 6,600 and price per share of 367.30 (-17.70), Pakistan International Container Terminal Limited with a volume of 300 and price per share of 321 (-10.00), Sazgar Engineering Works Limited with a volume of 102,200 and price per share of 190.01 (-9.93).
