RECORDER REPORT: PSX close of day

KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the upper side on Thursday at 23,118.84 points with a positive change of 80.47 and volume of 78,982,300 shares. High and Low were 23,492.75 and 22,746.67 respectively. Of 30 companies traded, 16 were up, 14 were down and 0 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 125,518,330 shares. Total companies traded were 338 of which 145 were positive, 177 were negative and 16 were unchanged.

Power Generation and Distribution was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 21,165,400 shares. It was followed by Commercial Banks with a total traded volume of 17,009,900 shares.

The three top traded companies were K-Electric Limited with a volume of 19,728,500 and price per share of 6.79 (0.03), TRG Pakistan Limited with a volume of 8,421,500 and price per share of 35.58 (-0.55), Engro Polymer & Chemicals Limited with a volume of 6,560,500 and price per share of 32.94 (-0.34).

The top three advancers were Wyeth Pakistan Limited with a volume of 980 and price per share of 2,189.52 (89.13), Pakistan Tobacco Company Limited with a volume of 200 and price per share of 1,695 (80.00), Island Textile Mills Limited with a volume of 50 and price per share of 966 (45.25).

The top three decliners were Nestle Pakistan Limited with a volume of 40 and price per share of 9,785 (-515.00), Sapphire Textile Mills Limited with a volume of 20 and price per share of 1,890.93 (-99.52), Honda Atlas Cars (Pakistan) Limited with a volume of 23,150 and price per share of 651.75 (-26.51).
