KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the lower side on Tuesday at 22,916.51 points with a negative change of -1321.99 and volume of 113,212,100 shares. High and Low were 24,238.50 and 22,753.63 respectively. Of 30 companies traded, 0 were up, 30 were down and 0 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 185,167,440 shares. Total companies traded were 367 of which 17 were positive, 340 were negative and 10 were unchanged.

Commercial Banks was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 31,547,300 shares. It was followed by Power Generation and Distribution with a total traded volume of 21,841,700 shares.

The three top traded companies were K-Electric Limited with a volume of 17,403,000 and price per share of 6.44 (-0.39), TRG Pakistan Limited with a volume of 9,683,000 and price per share of 35.84 (-1.88), Aisha Steel Mills Limited with a volume of 9,305,500 and price per share of 19.49 (-1.02).

The top three advancers were Colgate-Palmolive (Pakistan) Limited with a volume of 3,260 and price per share of 2,340 (40.00), Al-Abbas Sugar Mills Limited with a volume of 500 and price per share of 204.90 (8.90), Artistic Denim Mills Limited with a volume of 500 and price per share of 80.60 (3.76).

The top three decliners were Bata Pakistan Limited with a volume of 20 and price per share of 3,173 (-167.00), Wyeth Pakistan Limited with a volume of 260 and price per share of 2,028.53 (-103.47), Sanofi-Aventis Pakistan Limited with a volume of 100 and price per share of 1,643.50 (-86.50).
