RECORDER REPORT: PSX close of day

KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the upper side on Monday at 24,238.50 points with a positive change of 738.29 and volume of 154,016,200 shares. High and Low were 24,283.40 and 23,234.54 respectively. Of 30 companies traded, 28 were up, 2 were down and 0 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 235,297,060 shares. Total companies traded were 355 of which 279 were positive, 60 were negative and 16 were unchanged.

Commercial Banks was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 43,697,100 shares. It was followed by Engineering with a total traded volume of 30,028,100 shares.

The three top traded companies were The Bank of Punjab with a volume of 21,779,000 and price per share of 12.10 (0.55), TRG Pakistan Limited with a volume of 16,810,500 and price per share of 37.72 (1.79), Summit Bank Limited with a volume of 10,026,500 and price per share of 5.46 (0.96).

The top three advancers were Bata Pakistan Limited with a volume of 20 and price per share of 3,340 (140.00), Sanofi-Aventis Pakistan Limited with a volume of 100 and price per share of 1,730 (80.00), Millat Tractors Limited with a volume of 23,800 and price per share of 1,344.23 (39.56).

The top three decliners were Unilever Pakistan Foods Limited with a volume of 40 and price per share of 5,600.06 (-199.94), Exide Pakistan Limited with a volume of 6,000 and price per share of 848.56 (-20.44), Atlas Battery Limited with a volume of 6,500 and price per share of 860.84 (-14.30).
