MOSCOW: Russian gas giant Gazprom is on average expected to report a 95 percent rise in fourth-quarter net income to 220 billion roubles ($3.9 billion) thanks to a stronger rouble and recovery in oil prices, a poll of analysts showed on Wednesday.
A stronger rouble cuts payments of debt denominated in foreign currency, while at the same time it negatively impacts exports revenue. Gazprom reports in roubles.
