The College of Physicians & Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) in collaboration with American College of Surgeons (ACS), organised a course of ATLS in Pakistan. This is most prestigious course on trauma, being run in many advanced countries of the world by American College of Surgeons and Pakistan became the first country of this region to hold this renowned course.
The American College of Surgeons sent their highest graded team, which included Professor John Kortbeck, Chairman, Department of Surgery, University of Alberta and Chairman American College of Surgeon's sub-committee on Trauma, Professor Cristoph Kaufmann, and International Course Director of ATI.K Willshapleau; Tamil Ali, Chairman, Department of Surgery Toronto, Canada, and International Medical Educator Subash Goutman from UAE.
The Local faculty, which was trained by American College of Surgeons ATLS team last year in Portland Oregon comprised president CPSP Professor Zafar-Ullah-Chaudhary, Professor Irshad Waheed and Professor Mehmood Ayaz.
