Abdul Haq (80), an uncle of late Ghazi Abdul Rasheed on Sunday alleged that Islamabad administration is deliberately adopting delaying tactics to hand over the bodies of Ghazi's family members who were martyred in Lal Masjid operation.
Earlier administration had informed us that five bodies ie Ghazi Abdul Rashid, his mother, a maternal cousin Ata Muhammad, Mufti Inam Ullah Khan and Maulana Hassan son of Ghazi were reaching at Fareed Airbase (Rajanpur) by a special plane but only one body was received that night. He said that entire family was waiting for their bodies.
"Me and MNA Maulana Shah Abdul Aziz (who is now detained) were running from pillar to post since Saturday morning to get the bodies of my relatives who were killed in Lal Masjid," the uncle of Ghazi Rashid said. He further alleged that administration was not allowing the counsel of Maulana Abdul Aziz to see him for consultation with the prior permission granted by the judge of anti terrorist court .In fact the authorities are denying the basic right of meeting with his client, who was arrested during Operation Silence. "President assured full cooperation on media but practically nobody is ready to help us," he added.
According to Abdul Haq, his son visited sports complex, DC office and different hospitals but nobody is ready to listen him, adding that he have met Brigadier Javed Iqbal, who promised to facilitate and referred him to Colonel Ali Imran, but all in vain.
He said that it is our legal right to get the bodies of our dears for funeral. Relatives of Ghazi told newsmen that hundreds of people are visiting village Abdullah (Sadwani Mazari) daily to offer Fateha and laying wreath on the grave of Ghazi. He further alleged that Hashmat Aziz the lawyer of Maulana Abdul Aziz has accused the authorities of denying the basic right of meeting with his client, who was arrested during Operation Silence.
"They denied the meeting yesterday and told me to seek approval from the judge of anti terrorist court (ATC). Today I got the permission but they have been making lame excuses since morning," Hashmat told here on Saturday.
