Safwanullah quits cabinet

Federal Minister for Housing, Syed Safwanullah has resigned from his post due to illness, a spokesperson of his party Muttahida Qaumi Movement confirmed on Monday. He, however, will continue as the member National Assembly (MNA).
Safwan's resignation comes days after his party colleague Dr Amir Liaqat Hussain tendered his resignation both as State Minister for Religious Affairs and Member National Assembly. When approached, Haider Abbas Rizvi confirmed that Syed Safwanullah had resigned due to illness. He said Ports and Shipping Minister Babar Khan Ghauri has been given the additional charge for housing ministry.
