The Government has increased EOBI pension by 15 percent, and minimum pension has been increased from Rs 1300 to Rs 1500 per month. The EOBI administration has taken prompt steps to enable its 0.3 million old-age and widow pensioners to get increased pension of July, 2007, to be paid in August, 2007.
For this purpose all regional and field offices all over the country have been instructed accordingly, to mend the Pension Books of all pensioners, and stickers have been provided in the office to paste in the Pension Books for this purpose.
All pensioners have been requested that after obtaining pension for June, 2007 in this month, they should contact their nearest Regional or Field Office, along with their Pension Books, so that the stickers of enhancement in pension may be pasted in their books.-PR
