Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) has extended last date for filing of applications for submission of names, correction and objections over computerised voters' list till July 18, next. According to a press release issued here by provincial election commissioner on Saturday.
The draft computerised list will remain on display for information of masses at specific centres throughout the country including Fata till July 18. All the registration officers, assistant registration officers and information officers at display centres in NWFP and Fata have been informed by provincial election commissioner about the decision.
They were also directed to continue attestation of applications for submission of new names or correction in names and inclusion of all attested applications in final electoral lists. The provincial election commissioner has requested people to avail from the opportunity provided for induction of names in new voters' list.
People should visit display centres in their respective area and check their names and names of their family members in the new lists. All those who have attained the age of 18 on January 1, 2007 are eligible for induction of their names in the voters' list.
