The disconnection and recovery campaign of Peshawar Electricity Supply Company (Pesco) against defaulting government departments was in full swing in the province as nine more government connections have been disconnected in Peshawar Circle for non-payment of their outstanding arrears.
The government departments, whose power supply was disconnected included four connections of Town-I Peshawar, two connections of SDO Public Health Engineering Matta, and one connection each of SDO Public Health Engineering Shabqadar, WS Shabqadar and WSS Nasratzai have been disconnected due to non-payment of arrears.
Implementing the directives of Chief Executive Pesco Brigadier Sakhi Marjan. The Pesco field staff has started the disconnection and recovery campaign since last month which is in full swing, and a number of defaulting departments have already been disconnected and million of rupees have been recovered so far.
The operation in this regard was is in progress against the other defaulting government departments who have not yet cleared their arrears. All federal, provincial and local bodies institutions and domestic consumers have been urged once again to deposit their arears in their own interest so that their power supply may not be disconnected.
