Postmaster General of Pakistan, General Post Office has taken immediate steps to ensure smooth delivery of mail in Federal Capital. Currently, GPO Islamabad is not functioning in G-6 sector due to imposition of curfew, says a press release here Saturday. However, the Pakistan Post has taken steps to ensure smooth delivery of mail.
These steps include shifting of its offices to G-7 Markaz Post office to facilitate public. Postmen are delivering mail from the G-7 Post Office Satara Market. However, delivery of mail to G-6 can not be carried out and mail of G-6 area can be picked from G-7 PO by public during curfew relaxation hours.
Mail of Post boxes can be collected from GPO Islamabad during curfew relaxtion hours. Special arrangements have been made at Post Mall F-7 for the payment of Fax money orders.
