The lineup of vessels waiting to load sugar in Brazilian ports fell to 37 ships from 41 last week, shipping agent Williams said on Thursday. In a weekly report, it said 26 vessels were lined up in the southern port of Santos, down from 32 last week.
There were 8 vessels at Paranagua, up from 7 reported a week ago. The center-south, which accounts for 85 percent of national sugar cane output, is harvesting a record crop. Santos port accounted for 73 percent of the sugar tonnage being loaded in Brazil's ports.
