The Sindh chapter of Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) has dispatched relief goods worth Rs 300,000 to rain-hit areas of Johi Taluka of district Dadu through boats via Manchar Lake. Earlier, all efforts were failed to dispatch these goods by land route as most of the villages were submerged in rainwater, said a press release of the society issued here on Thursday.
PRCS is engaged in organising relief work in Thatta and Badin districts, including setting up of emergency medical camps and in Karachi, it was focusing its relief activities in Gadap town where 24 people died. A medical camp was also arranged in union council Gujro of Gadap town where 503 patients were examined. The relief activities were being supervised by Kanwar Waseem and Mehfooz-un-Nabi.
