Higher trend was seen on the grain market on Thursday as grams prices moved up due to short supplies from upcountry centres owing to transport problems, dealers said.
On the grams side, gram garda Punjab was sharply up by Rs 125, yellow peas Canada rose by Rs 100 to Rs 2600-2725, yellow peas dal was up by Rs 2750-2875. Beetle Chana No 1 gained Rs 100 to Rs 2950-3100, beetle 50x50 gained the same amount to Rs 2825-2925,. Dal beetle good type plus Rs 50 to Rs 3450 while the low type did not move any side at Rs 3300, they said.
On the cereal side, prices moved both ways as the moong Sindh gained Rs 15 to Rs 3250 and wheat old and new from Bardan was down to Rs 1215-1230, they said. Other sectors did not show any change in process of trading, dealers said.
