The Warid Telecom is one of the largest global roaming networks in Pakistan at over 125 destinations. This network was established by entering into roaming agreements with 175 leading international mobile service operators around the world within a short span of two years.
The Warid Telecom is also unique in Pakistan Telecom sector by offering 'SMS Roaming' to its post-paid customers in these destinations; a very cost-effective alternative to regular voice and text roaming.
International GPRS roaming service has also been extended to 35 destinations with 45 operators around the globe which places Warid second in the standings. Apart from terrestrial destinations, Warid also provides GSM coverage onboard cruise ships and ocean liners touring over various destinations, including Mediterranean and Caribbean routes.

The Warid Telecom is owned by the Abu Dhabi Group, led by His Highness Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan. The Abu Dhabi Group has other successful investments in Pakistan, namely Bank Alfalah, United Bank Limited. The Warid Telecom is the fastest growing and third largest GSM mobile company in Pakistan with about 10 million subscribers in the short span of less than two years of operations.-PR
