Secretary General Pakistan Muslim League (Q) Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed has asked his party workers to start preparations for upcoming general elections, adding that PML would hold party conventions at district level to mobilise the workers.
He said this while addressing the Pakistan Muslim League Youth Convention here on Wednesday, Mushahid praised President Pervez Musharraf for taking steps for economic uplift.
On the occasion he advised the PML-Q workers to play their active role to strengthen the party at the grass root level. He said the PML government was taking solid measures for providing jobs to the unemployed.
He announced that General Pervez Musharraf would chair the national youth convention, which would be organised by PML the next month. He said that the opposition is divided and they had no alternative programme to run the country. Chaudhry Zaheer-ud-Din, Arshad Lodhi, Iqbal Dar and Faqir Hussain Bukhari also spoke on the occasion.
