Prices of fruits, vegetables remain stable
ISLAMABAD: The prices of fruits and vegetables overall remained stable with minor fluctuation in price of some items in the federal capital here on Thursday.
According to the Islamabad Market Committee Price List issued here, the prices of various fruits and vegetables showed no major difference from the price list of the previous week.
According to price list, potato was sold at Rs 26 per kilogram, Onion Rs 34, Tomato Rs 95/70, Ginger Rs 80, Garlic (China) Rs 175, Garlic Local 135, Lemon Rs 165, Pumpkin Rs 38, Brinjal Rs 36, Peas Rs 28, Fresh Bean Rs 56, Tinda Walaiti (Imported gourd small) Rs 32, Cucumber Rs 25/250, Capsicum Rs 38/25, Green Chilli Rs 60/40, Cauliflower Rs 28/20, Cabbage Rs 20, Bitter Gourd Rs 105, Green Zucchini Rs 83, Spinach Rs 18/12, Raddish Rs 16, Turnip Rs 25, Yam Rs 70, Maroo Rs 26, Carrot Rs 34/22, Chicken Rs 157 and Egg per dozen Rs 87.
Likewise, the rates of fruits per kilogram of high and medium quality in Islamabad are as follows: Apple (kala kalo) Rs 130/90, Apple Golden Rs 98/55, Apple White Rs 88/52, Apple China Rs 190/135, Banana Pak Rs 105/60, Banana India Rs 145/120, Guava 95/50, Pomegranate Rs 225/160, Kino Rs 80/55, Pear China Rs 160/130, Melon Rs 48/35, Strawberry Rs 210/165.
The people are asked to ensure that they purchased vegetables and fruits as per rate list and inform authorities at 051-4867762 in case of any compliant against shopkeepers.
