President General Pervez Musharraf has approved the nomination of Tanvir Ali Agha, currently serving as Finance Secretary, as next Auditor-General of Pakistan (AGP). He will assume charge of his office after retirement of Yunis Khan, the incumbent AGP.
Official sources have told Business Recorder that Special Secretary to Prime Minister Dr Waqar Masood, Secretary Water and Power Ismail Qureshi and Secretary Board of Investment (BoI) Mushtaq Malik are in the run for Finance Secretary's position.
