Pakistan Muslim League (Q) President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has called on President Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz. During his meeting with President Musharraf at Camp Office on Monday, Chaudhry Shujaat discussed current country's situation, PML (Q) organisational issues with President Musharraf.
Chaudhry Shujaat met Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz at his Chamber in the parliament house which continued for forty minutes. The PML (Q) President exchanged views with PM about country's political situation, reshuffling in cabinet and upcoming general elections.
He also discussed with the PM about the nomination of State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Tariq Azim as Federal Information Minister in place of Federal Information Minister Muhammad Ali Durrani. During the meeting, the two leaders also consulted about budget session in the National Assembly and appreciated the treasury benches performance in this regard.
Meanwhile, Shujaat rejected a proposal to nominate Federal Minister for Railway Sheikh Rashid Ahmad as Secretary General of the PML (Q) and he appreciated Mushahid Hussain Syed performance and said there is no need of changing in party slots in the prevailing situation. According to resources, there was proposal to nominate Mushahid Hussain as Federal Information Minister in place of Muhammad Ali Durrani but the Mushahid refused to accept it now the Tariq Azim would be nominated as Federal Information Minister.
