Pakistan kicked off the series against the West Indies on a winning note, thanks to a clinical display of spin bowling, particularly by Shadab Khan on Sunday.
The T20 World Champions were restricted to 111 for eight of their 20 overs. While, Shadab made into record books by bowling the most economical spell in the history of T20 cricket on debut.
He grabbed three wickets, leaking only seven runs in his spell of four overs.
The opponents were alarmed by the threats posed by the new faces of Pakistan after Jason Holder, the West Indies captain said that they need to reassess their plans.
"We need to just sit down and work out our plans against all their bowlers," Holder said, quoted Cricinfo. "Obviously we are coming up against some guys who we have never played. In this situation, we need to find how best to play them given the conditions that we have."
The West Indies skipper added that his side need to 'counteract their slow bowlers in the middle.'
Pakistan would play its second T20 at Port of Spain on March 30.
