DUBAI: Indian off spinner Ravindra Jadeja has overtaken his team-mate Ravichandran Ashwin at the top of International Cricket Council (ICC) Test bowler ranking while not a single Pakistani bowler managed to make top 15.

According to the latest MRF Tyres ICC Player Rankings for Test Bowler rankings, Jadeja out bowled his closest competitor Ashwin by picking up nine wickets against touring Australia in the third Test of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

On the other hand, Sri Lankan great, Rangana Herath climbed up to third spot with impressive display of spin bowling, while Australias Josh Hazlewood slipped down to fourth.

Meanwhile, Englands spearhead James Anderson made his way back to 5th position. However, no Pakistani bowler managed to make his way into top 15 in the rankings. Leggie Yasir Shah was Pakistan best bowler and grabbed 16th spot in the latest rankings.

On the other hand, in the Test Batsmen category, Australian skipper Steven Smith top-ranked and reached a career-high rating of 941 points after scores of 178 in the third Test against India.

The Australia captain's tally is the joint-fifth highest ever along with Peter May. Only Don Bradman (961), Len Hutton (945), Jack Hobbs and Ricky Ponting (942) have achieved higher rating points.

Indias Cheteshwar Pujara too has reason to celebrate as his knock of 202 which helped him to gain second spot in the ranking surpassing his captain Virat Kohli who dropped to fourth spot behind Englands Joe Root.

New Zealand captain Kane Williamson dropped to fifth place in the new rankings. While, Pakistans Azhar Ali and Younis Khan climbed up one spot each to 6th and 7th spot, respectively.
