RECORDER REPORT: PSX close of day

KARACHI: Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) 100 index closed higher on Wednesday having 49754.72 points with a positive change of 302.01 and volume of 95,415,670 shares.

High and Low were 49778.21 and 49422.89 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 245,065,590 shares with 385 total traded companies out of which 202 were up 162 were down and 21 were unchanged.

CHEMICAL was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 36,716,850 shares. It was followed by ENGINEERING with a total traded volume of 29,366,900 shares.

The three top traded companies were Aisha Steel Mill with a volume of 15,385,000 and price per share of 23.27 (0.95), Sui South Gas with a volume 15,152,000 of price per share of 45.21 (1.48), Azgard Nine with a volume 12,295,000 of price per share of 10.83 (0.08).

The top three advancers were Bata (Pak) with price per share 4305.00 (205.00), Nestle Pakistan with price per share of 9300.00 (200.00) and Philip Morris Pak. share of 2455.54 (111.36).

The top three decliners were Wyeth Pak Ltd with price per share of 2793.37 (147.01), Sanofi-Aventis with price per share of 2297.80 (120.93) and Sapphire Tex. share of 1218.00 (62.00).
