Pakistan wicketkeeper batsman Kamran Akmal, has been a man on a mission these days with one goal in his eyes that is to earn an international recall. The hard hitting batsman is now optimistic that he would soon make into the national squad, after impressive show in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Kamran Akmal, who is playing for Peshawar Zalmi played a pivotal role for his side last night win against the Karachi Kings. Akmal spearheaded the Zalmis attack hitting a blistering hundred, the first hundred of the PSL season allowed his side to set the target of 182.
Akmal later went on to win the man of the match award for his 104 runs inning in the third playoff.
The 35 years old veteran has been a top performer in the countrys domestic circuit for quite some time, and is now confident that he will return to the team.
"I have been performing well in domestic cricket for the last two three years and now it's up to the selectors to select me in the team or not," said Akmal, in an interview to BBC Urdu.
Earlier, Pakistan cricket chief selector Inzamam ul Haq informed that during team selection, players would be selected on their performance at domestic level as well on their performance during the PSL, because the league is a PCB event.
