imageJHANG: Provincial Minister for Schools Education Rana Mashhood on Monday said that Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif was giving top priority to education in the province and 100 percent enrolment would be ensured in schools to get positive results of 'Parho Punjab Barho Punjab Program'.

He was addressing a ceremony to launch Early Childhood Education in 100 schools of the district.

The ceremony was attended by Deputy Commissioner Ghazi Amanullah, CEO Education Authority Riaz Ahmed Sohi, Chairman Zila Council Nawab Babar Khan Sial, Chairman MC Jhang Sh. Nawaz Akram and others.

The minister said that Jhang district was at top of the list in educational survey of the province for which he congratulated to the citizens of the district.

He said the government would pay full attention to the district for improving its institutions. He said the government was sincere to solve problems of teachers and they (teachers) must work hard to achieve the targets set by the government.

He said that 100 schools of the district had been selected for early child education program with cooperation of UNICEF and district government and Directorate Staff development.

Earlier Rana Mashhood Khan visited Government Girls High School Satellite Town, Government Islamia High School Jhang Sadar and other schools where he checked the standard of education, security and cleanliness of the schools.

Officers of Education Department also briefed the minister in Circuit House.

The minister assured to provide funds for missing facilities in schools like boundary walls, toilets and furniture.
