LSE gains 134.44 points
LAHORE: The Lahore Stock Exchange gained 134.44 points on Monday, as LSE-25 Index opened with 3094.78 and closed at 3229.22 points.
The market's overall situation, however, did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 2.086 million shares to close against the previous turnover of 2.282 million shares, showing a difference of 196,159 shares. Out of the total 90 active scrips 45 moved up, 39 remained equal with only 6 sheded values.
Fauji Fertilizer Company Limited, Pakistan Oil Fields Limited, and Oil and Gas Development Corporation Limited (OGDCL) were major gainers of the day by recording increase in their per share value by Rs9.21, Rs8.69 and Rs6.78 respectively.
Netsol Technologies Limited, Nishat (Chunian) Limited and Mepal Leaf Cement Factory lost their per share value by Rs1, Rs0.22 and Rs0.10 respectively.
The volume leader of the day included Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim with turnover of 246,448 shares, Lotte Paistan PTA Limited with 205,196 and The Bank of Punjab Limited with 199,710 shares.
