KARACHI: Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) 100 index closed lower on Friday having 48950.72 points with a negative change of 111.54 and volume of 133,455,040 shares.

High and Low were 49273.94 and 48941.69 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 275,386,060 shares with 387 total traded companies out of which 136 were up 238 were down and 13 were unchanged.

COMMERCIAL BANKS was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 40,010,000 shares. It was followed by ENGINEERING with a total traded volume of 34,553,500 shares.

The three top traded companies were K-Electric Ltd. with a volume of 22,309,500 and price per share of 9.80 (0.05), Azgard Nine with a volume 18,918,500 of price per share of 9.34 (0.65), Sui North Gas with a volume 8,223,500 of price per share of 120.59 (5.74).

The top three advancers were Nestle Pakistan with price per share 9450.00 (450.00), Rafhan Maize with price per share of 7710.00 (110.50) and Pak Tobacco share of 1176.91 (56.04).

The top three decliners were Wyeth Pak Ltd with price per share of 3915.03 (-201.30), Sanofi-Aventis with price per share of 2400.00 (-90.00) and Hinopak Motor share of 1550.00 (-39.09).
