KARACHI: President Mamnoon Hussain has expressed that terrorists will not be successful in their bid to stop the country from progressing, ARY News reported.
He made the statement while speaking in a ceremony at Sindh Madrassatul Islam University in Karachi on Saturday. The president said that the sacrifices, rendered by the nation, will not go in vain. He added that Pakistani nation will thwart the nation the nefarious designs of the terrorists with national unity.
He said, The terrorists will not be able to stop Pakistan from progressing through their acts of sabotage. They will be brought to their logical end.
He added that the anti-state elements will be driven out of their safe havens. The Pakistani president stated that the youth of the country should acquire modern education in order to meet the challenges lying ahead of them.
Pakistan has seen a dramatic improvement in security in the past two years, but there have been multiple attacks this week.
At least 80 people were martyred Thursday when a suicide bomber attacked the crowded Sufi shrine of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar in Sehwan, injuring up to 250 others, hospital and senior police officials said.
On Thursday, the powerful blast took place inside the premises of the shrine as a Dhamaal was taking place.
