The second edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is in full swing, with emerging players eyeing to cement their position in the national squad, some of the veterans too are using this platform as a comeback lunch-pad.
One of the veterans is Pakistan pace bowler Mohammad Sami, known for his ability to generate lethal pace on consistent basis. The career of Sami however, has largely remained marred with inconsistency.
Sami, playing for the Islamabad United in the PSL has emerged as a regular performer for his franchise, the Karachi born has dedicated his recent success to United mentor Wasim Akram.
"Wasim bhai has always inspired and motivated me to bowl to the best of my ability. He is always guiding me and helping me with tips," said, while talking to a private news channel.
Sami, has claimed 5 wickets in the ongoing T20 tournament for his side, bagging two wickets for United against its match against Quetta Gladiators last night. The pacer further shared Wasim Akram mentoring secrets.
"The first thing he tells us is not to take too much pressure. He tells us to go out there and enjoy our cricket. Along with that, he also gives us technical tips on bowling fast and accurate," Sami said.
