KARACHI: Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) 100 index closed higher on Thursday having 49588.30 points with a positive change of 374.15 and volume of 88,873,210 shares.

High and Low were 49693.84 and 49163.91 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 263,260,760 shares with 402 total traded companies out of which 252 were up 130 were down and 20 were unchanged.

ENGINEERING was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 55,100,800 shares. It was followed by CEMENT with a total traded volume of 36,286,700 shares.

The three top traded companies were Aisha Steel Mill with a volume of 21,720,000 and price per share of 27.38 (1.30), Dost Steels Ltd. with a volume 21,420,000 of price per share of 15.94 (0.89), TRG Pak Ltd with a volume 13,706,000 of price per share of 58.07 (1.19).

The top three advancers were Hinopak Motor with price per share 1699.00 (77.75), Wyeth Pak Ltd with price per share of 4426.00 (56.00) and Pak Tobacco share of 1146.50 (53.25).

The top three decliners were Bata (Pak) with price per share of 3950.00 (150.00), Service Ind.Ltd with price per share of 1472.00 (45.22) and Mehran SugarXD share of 209.06 (11.00).
