KARACHI: Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) 100 index closed higher on Monday having 49965.63 points with a positive change of 40.55 and volume of 143,010,680 shares.

High and Low were 50322.55 and 49834.69 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 362,407,540 shares with 411 total traded companies out of which 166 were up 236 were down and 9 were unchanged.

ENGINEERING was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 67,546,100 shares. It was followed by CEMENT with a total traded volume of 37,082,550 shares.

The three top traded companies were Power Cement Ltd. with a volume of 17,656,500 and price per share of 19.85 (1.00), Pak Elektron with a volume 9,616,000 of price per share of 88.01 (0.59), Sui South Gas with a volume 8,775,000 of price per share of 39.96 (0.18).

The top three advancers were Wyeth Pak Ltd with price per share 4469.99 (37.49), Shell Pakistan with price per share of 587.63 (27.96) and Service Ind.Ltd share of 1434.92 (27.42).

The top three decliners were Hinopak Motor with price per share of 1652.00 (73.00), Sanofi-Aventis with price per share of 2736.00 (64.00) and Millat Tractors share of 1066.65 (46.39).
