Islamabad United beat Peshawar Zalmi by 7 wickets in PSL II opener
DUBAI: Pakistan Super League's second edition kicked-off in style on Thursday with defending champions Islamabad United chasing down reviewed D/L target of 173 set by Peshawar Zalmi in opening match here on Thursday night.
United Captain Misbha ul Haq had won the toss and elected to field.
Zalmi scored 190 for 9 runs with Kamran Akmal starring with the bat.
The match was reduced to 18 overs with a reviwed target of 173 runs after light showers disrupted play in the chase down.
United eventually crossed the line with 175 for 3 wickets in the final over.
Brad Haddin grabbed the man of the match award for scoring 73 runs for United.
