The former U.S. president Barack Obama is trying out dangerous water sports after shedding off Presidency, as the once worlds most powerful man chills out on vacation.
Obama and his wife Michelle who are enjoying a vacation to the British Virgin Islands, are being hosted by Mr Richard Branson himself, the founder of the Virgin Group.
Speaking on his blog, Richard Branson wrote: "It was a huge honour to be able to invite President Barack and Michelle Obama down to the British Virgin Islands for a complete break after Barack finished his second term as President and the family left the White House.
Mr Branson published a blog post, along with photos and a video showing Mr Obama, a lifelong surfer, learning kite surfing.
In his final press conference as president, Obama said he was looking forward to spending time with his family after leaving office. I want to do some writing, I want to be quiet a little bit and not hear myself talk so darn much. I want to spend precious time with my girls, he said.
Obama who has mostly kept a low profile since leaving the White House, as is tradition, did break his silence to issue a statement about Donald Trumps travel ban executive order. He has stated he will speak up if our core values are at stake, the Guardian reported.
