KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah who is paying personal attention to the development works of Karachi on Tuesday paid a surprise visit and inspected progress of on-going projects in the metropolis.
Without informing the concerned officers of Karachi package, the CM Sindh visited University Road right from Hassan Square to Karachi University, said a statement.
Syed Murad Ali Shah inspected quality and progress of ongoing work at Hassan Square.
The road from Hassan Square to Baitul Mukaram, up-going to Nipa, has been completed while onward work is in progress.
The CM Sindh went upto University of Karachi and then taking U- turn returned and went towards Gulistan-e-Jauhar and visited roads there. He noticed that there were some encroachment on the road.
He directed DMC concerned to get the encroachments cleared and remove debris and garbage lying along the road.
Syed Murad Ali Shah returned from Jauhar Chowrangi and visited the other side of University Road.
He talked to PD Karachi package and directed him to gear up the work and also visited Tariq Road and inspected progress of work.
The work on both sides of Tariq Road has been completed from Allahwali Chowrangi to Cafe Liberty signal while work is underway from Cafe Liberty upward, the statement added.
