Ambassador Jillani upbeat on future of US-Pakistan ties

imageWASHINGTON: Pakistani Ambassador in the United States of America Jalil Abbas Jillani said on Monday that the US-Pak relations successfully achieved stability in recent years.

Jillani was addressing a farewell lunch giving in his honor here in Washington.

According to latest media reports, Jillani said, There has been now a high degree of recognition for Pakistan in the USA. Pakistani sacrifices against terrorism are now noted here.

The economic revival in Pakistan is being appreciated by the international community and global economic institutions, he said. I am glad to say that the American-Pakistanis also played their vital role for a better image perception of the country.

Ever since the new US President Donald Trump was elected to the White House, the people of Pakistan are in doubt whether the new US government will change its foreign policy towards the South Asian country.

US President Donald Trump's executive order on immigration bars citizens of seven Muslim-majority countries i.e. Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen from entering the United States for the next 90 days and suspends the admission of all refugees for 120 days.

However, United States will not ban visas for Pakistanis in the near future, Washington has assured Islamabad, stated the Federal Minister.

Jillani added that there are indicators of good relations with Pakistan with the Trump administration. If you see the republican presidential manifesto, there are two paragraphs on Pakistan in a very positive light.
