PSL-2: Cricketers breaking sweat ahead of tournament

imageThe launch of second edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) is just days away, with cricket fans back home and around the world wait anxiously. The players are hitting the nets and honing their skills to lighten up the cricketing spectacle.

With all the teams expressing optimism, the five franchises of PSL i.e. Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars, Quetta Gladiators, Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United, are all busy pumping themselves at the nets in Dubai, UAE.

Afridis Peshawar Zalmi on the other hand are enjoying the world cup of their own, as Dubai Zalmi led by Boom Boom Afridi himself would take on Hafeezs Kashmir Zalmi in the finals at Dubai today.

In the meantime, the PSL management will unveil the trophy today (Monday) at the Dubai International Cricket (DIC) Stadium.

The unveiling of the PSL trophy called the Spirit Trophy which dazzles with 50,000 double pointed crystals from Swarovski would be attended by captains of the five participating teams, as well as Chairman PSL Najam Sethi, franchise owners and management.

The PSL-2 is scheduled to begin on February 9 at the DIC, the star studded event would be attended by international music rapper Shaggy and Pakistani star singers Ali Zafar and Shahzad Roy among others.
