Hafiz Saeed's name placed on ECL

ISLAMABAD: Ministry of Interior has placed the name of Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) chief Hafiz Muhammad Saeed and 37 other active members of the organisation on Exit Control List (ECL). The government of Punjab placed JuD chief Hafiz Muhammad Saeed under the house arrest on January 30, following the directives of the Ministry of Interior.
Sources said the ministry has forwarded a letter to all provincial governments and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in this regard. The letter says that names of the JuD chief and 37 other individuals have been placed on the ECL.
The Ministry of Interior also placed the Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs) and passports of these 38 individuals on the Black List, they said.
