MOSCOW: Russian and Turkish jets carried out air strikes on Islamic State targets near the Syrian town of al-Bab on Thursday, Interfax news agency cited the Russian Defence Ministry as saying.
"As a result of this joint operation, Russian jets destroyed three command and communication points, as well as several militant strongholds," Interfax quoted the ministry as saying.
