KARACHI: On Thursday, until mid day, KSE-100 Index was at 49879.29 with a positive change of 122.52 and volume of 74,022,330 shares.

High and Low were 49923.17 and 49668.64 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 204,790,520 shares with 374 total traded companies out of which 198 were up, 164 were down and 12 were unchanged.

POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 48,782,600 shares. It was followed by TRANSPORT with a total traded volume of 27,822,800 shares.

The three top traded companies were K-Electric Ltd.. with a volume of 22,632,000 and price per share of 10.00 (0.12), Japan Power with a volume 22,149,500 of price per share of 8.70 (0.70), P.I.A.C.(A) with a volume 19,529,000 of price per share of 9.90 (0.57).

The top three advancers were Wyeth Pak Ltd with price per share 4600.00 (25.33), Thal Ind.Corp.XD with price per share of 509.00 (24.00) and Atlas Battery share of 999.90 (22.00).

The top three decliners were ICI Pakistan with price per share of 1179.50 (-16.17), K.S.B.Pumps with price per share of 461.50 (-13.40) and Abbott Lab. per share of 1099.00 (-12.50).
