Pakistani veteran batsman Younis Khan didnt have the best of the series by all accounts, as the countrys most successful run-maker in Test cricket has been struggling throughout the series against Australia.
The lack of runs on the board, has become an impediment causing Younis one of the best fielders in Pakistan side to drop a few against the Aussies.
"I saw him in the English series, he dropped a lot of catches there. What he is doing at slip for the leg spinner, I dont know," said former Australian captain Ian Chappell, reported news.com.au.
"He is dropping them all sort same reason and nothing seems to be done about it. I am only assuming that he is not at first slip because hes the best fieldsman there. He is at first slip? Why? Because of senior art. If I was Yasir I would be saying put somebody else at first slip otherwise I dont bowl."
The outspoken cricket commentator then went on to slam the 42-year-olds footwork in the slips. "It is horrible technique. That is the same reason that he was dropping all the catches in England."
However, Younis finally showed some resistance at the SCG hitting a fighting fifty along with Azhar Ali, stabilizing the visitors ship after they lost two wickets before tea.
