RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Army on Sunday notified transfers and postings, besides appointments of various senior officers of Lt General rank, according to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Corps Commander Karach Lt Gen Naveed Mukhtar has been transferred and posted as Director General Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) vice Lt Gen Rizwan Akhtar who has been posted as President of National Defence University (NDU).
NDU President Lt Gen Nazir Butt has been appointed as Corps Commander Peshawar (11Corps) vice Lt Gen Hidayat ur Rehman who has been posted as Inspector General Training and Evaluation (IGT&E) at General Headquarter (GHQ).
Director General Rangers Sindh, Major Gen Bilal Akbar, who was recently promoted as Lt Gen, has been posted as Chief of General Staff.
Director General Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lt Gen Asim Salim Bajwa has been appointed as Inspector General Arms (IG Arms) at GHQ. He was posted DG ISPR in June 2012 and promoted to Lt Gen in September 2015.
Newly promoted Lt Gen Hamayun Aziz has been posted as Inspector General Communications and Information Technology (C&IT) at GHQ. Similarly, newly promoted Lt Gen Qazi Ikram has been appointed as Chief of Logistic Staff at GHQ while another newly promoted Lt Gen Sher Afgun has been posted as Corps Commander 31 Corps at Bahawalpur. Another newly promoted Lt Gen Muhammad Afzal will continue as Director General Frontier Works Organization (FWO) while recently promoted Lt Gen Naeem Ashraf has been posted as Chairman Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT).
