Date of By-poll in NA-258 Karachi extended

KARACHI: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday in a partial modification of a notification containing the date of poll for by-election in constituency No. NA-258 Karachi-XX re-fixed as November 28 instead of November 24.

According to a notification issued here on Tuesday, the notification of even number dated November 4, 2016 containing the date of poll for by-election in constituency No. NA-255 Karachi-XX, in pursuance of section 11A of the Representation of the People Act, 1976 (LXXXV of 1976) and Article 254 of the constitution of the Islamic republic of Pakistan, due to various operational and internal security commitments, the commission announced the new date of the by-poll in the aforementioned constituency as November 28 instead of November 24, 2016.
