imageMULTAN: Punjab Governor Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana on Saturday urged teachers to place special focus on quality and the latest technology to bring about positive changes in the education sector.

Addressing an annual ceremony at Emerson College, he said students should not only get education but also focus on learning. He recalled his college days and said friendships of college life were memorable.

He said different development projects were underway in South Punjab but the area needed more schemes.

With the passage of time, he said, the importance of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) would increase and Gwadar would be a top priority of world.

The Governor said Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif would inaugurate the Multan Metro Bus Project in December. More mega projects, he added, would be demanded from the Prime Minister.

He stressed the need for unity among the nation for the prosperity of the country.

He said a prosperous Pakistan was a priority of all patriotic politicians.

He said the operation Zarb-e-Azb was successfully continuing and future of the country was bright.

He said Pakistan armed forces were effectively replying the India aggression at the Line of Control (LoC) effective. "We need peace in the region but it should not be taken as our weakness," he added.

Rajwana said all possible resources were being utilised to control loadsheding of gas and remarkable decrease had been witnessed in electricity outages.

He said terrorism had been decreased in Balochistan and it would be ended soon.
