Former Pakistan captain Ramiz Raja has slammed the Pakistan cricket team over their disappointing performance against New Zealand in the first Test match on Saturday.
Another Pak batting seizure at the crease. Batsmen undone by bounce. Such displays nullify the good work & reputation earned thru hard work, said Pakistani commentator Ramiz Raja on his Twitter account.
The statement comes after Pakistani batsmen were left undone by the Black Caps bowling, as they exploited the pace and swing offered by the New Zealand tracks.
Pakistani batsman were particularly vulnerable against the short ball on offer, Ramiz Raja questioned how the Pakistani batsman are preparing against it.
Q (Question) has to be asked whether batsmen have been working to cope with the short ball.It messes up your batt (batting) if you are waiting for 1 all the time, Ramiz quoted.
At the end of third day, the hosts are well in command of the First Test match as Pakistan piled up a lead of just 62 runs against the Black Caps losing seven wickets in the process.
