LAHORE: A high level delegation led by Ambassador of United Arab Emirates Essa Abdulla Al Basha Al Noaimi met Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif here on Friday.
Matters of mutual interest, Pak-UAE relations and promotion of cooperation in different sectors were discussed.
The Chief Minister talked to UAE ambassador and members of the delegation in Arabic.
Shehbaz Sharif said that there were historical and brotherly relations between Pakistan and UAE and cooperation of UAE in development of Pakistan was commendable.
He said that Pakistan highly valued cooperation of UAE for improvement of education, health and other sectors and further assistance in education sector would be welcomed.
The UAE delegation expressed desire to increase cooperation with the Punjab government in promotion of education.
The UAE delegation included Executive Director General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments Muhammad Obaid Al-Mazrouei, head of Khateeb UAE Saif Rashid Fazal Al-Mazrouei and Member Sheikh Khilafa Bin Zaid Humanitarian Foundation Engineer Ali Muhammad Al-Souwaidi.
Provincial Minister Ata Manika, Secretaries Home, Higher Education, Auqaf departments, Chief Executive Officer Punjab Investment Board and others were also present.
