HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad police will deploy 1,200 policemen assisted by some 250 volunteers for security duty of Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA).
The police spokesman informed here Friday that the security had been divided in 2 zones, 4 sectors and a special sector for the main procession which would emanate from Qadam Gah Moula Ali (RA) and culminate at Karbala Dadan Shah.
The procession would pass through Station Road, PS City Chowk, Lajpat Road, Society Chowk, PS Cantt, St Mary's School and Raheem Shopping Center on its way.
The spokesman told that 5 rooftop posts in sector 1, 4 in sector 2 and 5 each in the sectors 3, 4 and special sector would be established in addition to 12 police pickets along the route.
Elsewhere in the district 14 police pickets would be established. Some 3 Quick Response Units of the police commandos would also be kept on standby, he added.
The SSP Hyderabad Irfan Baloch had directed all the DSPs and SHOs to carry out patrol in their respective jurisdictions and to carry out searching in the guest houses, railway stations, bus stops and other places.
The spokesman informed that the Rangers and the police carried out a joint combing operation in the areas in the limits of Hussainabad and A-Section police stations earlier in the day.
